Soma Care and Maintenance

Periodically, we do maintenance on Soma. On Sunday and Monday, we had a solid crew down on Pier 14 to replace some blubs, remove graffiti, and reinforce the mesh on the lower dodecas.

Here is one of the gals, Lauren, working in the shop. We are a busy crew lately. The debut of Mutopia is how many days away? Actually don’t tell us we are hard at work and any distraction like dates and times will just get in our way.

As we work away this weekend in San Francisco some of the girls will be working (and having fun) out on the black rock desert. They will be testing the liquid fuel effects, yummmmm. I’m sure we will post some pictures of this for you soon.

Love and Liquid fueled kisses!

PS We love this holiday, why? Fireworks of course, what else would get girls like us excited!

Film Synopsis: Once a year, on a vast Nevada lake bed surrounded by mountains, the Burning Man festival brings together tens of thousands of people who are attracted by the festival’s promise of seven days of “decommodification,” “community,” “artwork,” and “revelry.” But increasingly, many question whether Burning Man’s mainstream appeal threatens—or even upends—the festival’s utopian vision. Through a series of in-depth interviews of the festival’s founders, organizers, and participants, DUST AND ILLUSIONS traces the festival’s history, while examining whether the festival is a victim of its own success.
