Makers Fair and other things

We have been so busy lately that we haven’t even spent time writing about our artistic musings and happenings.

the orbSWARM is in full prototyping swing now. They went down and played at the Tech Shop to cut out the first designs for the SWARM orb, now they just have the figure out all of the other stuff, gps, ai, and all the other tech stuff.

Yasi, Rebecca and Charlie are working hard on their Ocean Beach fire pits. Yasi and Rebecca’s pit which depicts the native beach primrose is looking fantastic! They are having a celebratory bbq to test its fire worthiness. Charlie’s pit, a beautifully detailed starfish, is also coming along, getting ready for its debut on April 14th on Ocean Beach. If you didn’t see it already the Chronicle did a wonderful story on the Fire Pits.

As for the FLG we are gearing up for a few events. April 27th two of the Feathers plus our talented Marlies will be showcasing her Woman piece in Pacifica at their 11th Arts on Fire event. Then it is on to the Maker Faire May 19th and 20th at the San Mateo Fair Grounds. This will be a great event, if you didn’t go last year make sure you come this year.

Well that is about it, all the news of FLG and other associates at the Boxshop. We have some other exciting stuff brewing but we wouldn’t want to spoil the surprise now would we so you’ll have to wait to find out.

Another appropriate stage for an FLG production would be the Peking Olympics. Steven Spielberg is being listed as a consultant for them, but I doubt he will be the overall producer. is the site of the producer of the 2004 Athens Olympics.
