Here’s a sneak-peak of our hard efforts this weekend in the shop. Powered by delicious BBQ, we had a solid crew of people grinding, measuring, welding, futzing and designing all weekend long. This is the lower levels of the frame for Xylophage’s central tree stump. Impressively, it all fits in one picture… but not for LONG!

Wednesday evening, 7:15pm, we’re hitting this build season HARD. Our metal has arrived, our prototyping is progressing, and we have a gaggle of new FLGs thanks to Maker Faire, our Quatro de Xylo BBQ and other promotional events.

We’re gearing up for a full year of creating some amazing work. Just last night we were in the shop experimenting with ways to manipulate fire into shapes and patterns that physics would surely take issue with. We’re still developing and fine-tuning the ideas for our next big piece, and we’re negotiating where to bring our art next.
