It’s that Time Again! Welding for Fresh and Squeaky New FLG’s!
If you have always wanted to make large-scale fire sculptures and were wondering how, look no further…the Flaming Lotus Girls are holding their annual Introduction to Welding for New Members this month.
The one and only requirement to your acceptance into this class is that you want to work on our latest project for Burning Man 2009, called Soma (http://somaflg.wordpress.com/).
The class is being held at the Boxshop in Hunter’s Point on Saturday, 05/09/09 from 11A-5P.

There is a $20 donation that will cover materials and shop fees. We will provide welding helmets and gloves. We also have a grill, so bring some things to grill on there for lunch.
What to bring/wear:
- Non-flammable clothes, i.e. leather, heavy cotton, wool – NO SYNTHETICS
- Leather boots or canvas shoes (steel toe preferred, but not required) – NO FLIP-FLOPS
- Food and water
- A good attitude
